Programme Structure

The Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering is a full time research and application focused programme. The duration of the programme will be 4 semester for those with a 3-year BEng degree or a Mechanical Engineering degree (without aeronautical specialization), and 3 semesters for those with a substantial aerospace background.

Students have to choose 3 subjects from their Major Focus area, 2 subjects from their Secondary Focus area, 2 subjects from any of the Focus area and 2 subjects as Electives from any of the Engineering courses provided by GIST.

Core Modules:

§          Aerodynamics

§          Flight Performance and Dynamics

§          Structures and Materials

§          Propulsion

§          Advanced Mathematics

Three focus areas will be offered: ‘Aerodynamics and Propulsion’, ‘Structures, Materials and Systems’, and ‘Flight Mechanics and Control’:
