Singapore: The South East Asia Drymix Mortar Association SEADMA awarded the SEADMA Grant to Miss Serina Ng a student of GIST's Masters programme in Industrial Chemistry, at a ceremony held at NUS on Thursday 20th September.
Representatives from the industry including Mr Ferdinand Leopolder, President SEADMA, Mr Juergen Herein Managing Director Wacker Chemicals South Asia, Ms Catherine Tay, Sales Director Calucem and Mr S. Tim Tan, General Manager Jurong Cement attended the event. Prof Andy Hor Head of the Chemistry Department at NUS was also present on the occasion.
The SEADMA Grant valued at 15.500 Euro (approx 31.000 SG$) is financed by SEADMA Partners: Aqualon, Calucem, Degussa, Drymix.info and Wacker and aims at supporting a master student in the joint study programme between GIST, NUS and TUM.
The award is the result of an initiative taken by Prof. Dr. Johann Plank (TUM) in collaboration with the German Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), National University of Singapore (NUS) and Technische Universität München (TUM) to support and strengthen the research on construction chemicals in Singapore. |
