President of TUM, Prof Herrmann visits GIST

Singapore: Students of the Industrial Chemistry programme had the rare honour of attending a series of lectures delivered by Prof Hermann, President TUM as part of their course module in Catalysis. Prof Herrmann is in Singapore annually to share his immense experience with GIST students which is a feature unique to GIST's master programmes. During his visit Prof Herrmann also held meetings with university and industry partners to explore further avenues of collaboration. Prof Herrmann takes an active interest in GIST and maintains strong ties with its students and alumni. He also presided at the Alumni Reunion Dinner held on August 31 which was organized by GIST for students of the Industrial Chemistry and Integrated Circuit Design programmes. The dinner was attended by all GIST alumni working in Singapore who are now associated with companies like BASF, Eurochem, Infineon and STMicroelectronics.
