GIST course Design and Modeling of Nanodevices (MN6605)
research interest
His research interests are primary on the theory and modeling of the interactions between the energetic beam (electron, laser and electromagnetic pulse) and its surrounding structures. His current research are quantum theory of collective electron interaction (limiting current, beam modulation, beam-loading and noise), compact coherent radiation source at THz and X-ray, low temperature cooling devices, high current cathodes, photonic devices and breakdown of dielectrics.

In the course of shrinking dimensions for semiconductor devices the requirements for lithography become more and more challenging and expensive. The focus of research is on current-stabilized Field Emitter Arrays to create a stable electron source for future time and cost saving electron lithography systems.
