Great News!! We have moved!!!

As of the 1st of September, GIST has officially moved to our new premises at PIXEL in One North.
We are embracing this little milestone of ours by relocating to No. 10 Central Exchange Green, Pixel Building, #03-01, Singapore 138649.
The new office is bright and welcoming with adequate room for future expansion in years to come.
Experts to gather in Singapore, share ideas at water workshop in June
Singapore, 16 May 2008 – This June, experts from all around the world will gather in Singapore for a workshop to discuss and share their expertise on sustainable water reclamation.
The RECLAIM Water Workshop will be held on the sidelines of the Singapore International Water Week on two separate days: 23 June and 27 June 2008.
It is jointly organised by the Public Utilities Board (PUB), the National University of Singapore (NUS), German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Institute of Science and Technology (GIST).
Some of the distinguished speakers include Professor Thomas Melin (2003 Stockholm Water Prize Winner) and Professor Peter Wilderer (Chair of the IWA Water Reuse Specialist Group).
They will touch on topics including water treatment technologies and water quality and risk management.
The goal of the workshop is to foster international interaction and exchange, as well as to promote multinational research and development co-operation among the global water community.

Engineers in big deman: Straits Times Reports
Singapore, 9 May 2008 - A recent report by Singapore’s national newspaper, The Straits Times revealed that engineers are very much sought after in the manufacturing, construction and the oil and gas industries these days.
Bosses were said to have experienced difficulties in finding qualified people for jobs.
The report was based on a global survey done by a United States-based employment services agency, Manpower.
Its subsidiary company in Singapore - Manpower Singapore – also took part in the worldwide poll. A total of 650 employers were interviewed.
