Dinner Gathering @ NTU Alumni Club

On 21 November, GIST hosted a party for some 70 people at the NTU Alumni Club at Buona Vista. It was a small but cozy affair complete with an alfresco barbecue buffet dinner in the courtyard. The dancing lights from the tiki torches created a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

It was a night to remember as this was the first time GIST has brought our alumni, our current group of students and lecturers together for an evening of sharing and networking. The current students enjoyed the chance to listen to the experience and advice of the alumni members on their studies and career building.

The peak of the night was announcement of the recipients of the new GIST–DAAD scholarships. The lucky 8 students were gleaming with joy when they received their scholarship from the hands of Dr. Susanne Rentzow-Vasu, Director of DAAD in Singapore. Hearty congratulations to all recipients and special appreciation to Dr Susanne and DAAD!

Indeed it was a memorable night and GIST will organize more of such events in future to provide the platform for valuable sharing and networking for all GIST students and lecturers, old and new.
